XX Jubilee International Conference on Technical Dam Control was held on September 12-15, 2023, in Chorzow (Poland).

The conference was once again held in a hybrid format. A total of 204 people from 20 countries participated in the conference, including 147 who attended in-person.
In honor of the 140th-anniversary celebration of Silesian Waterworks Company , a special session dedicated to the company’s activities took place during the conference deliberations. A technical trip to Goczałkowicki Reservoir, administered by Silesian Waterworks Company, was also organized.

The project consists in popularising science by organising the XX International Conference on Technical Control of Dams TKZ2023, presenting the latest achievements of Polish and foreign science in the field of hydraulic engineering on an international forum.
The TKZ2023 conference was held stationary in Chorzów (Poland) at the Diament Arsenal Palace Hotel on September 12-15, 2023.
The Technical Dam Control Conference is a cyclical event, held every two years, and it receives recognition and interest in the water engineering community. Since 2017, the conference’s main organiser has been the Warsaw University of Technology.
In 2023, the jubilee, the twentieth edition of the conference, was organised under the motto “Safety of hydraulic structures”.
